Biography
Pastor Karen C. Smith faithfully serves at The Chosen Ministries Church of God,
bringing more than two decades of ministry experience shaped by her years of service in
Chicago, where she taught, counseled, and supported individuals and families through
Scripture and prayer. These early years established a strong foundation for the ministry
she leads today.
As her commitment to God deepened, He entrusted her with a powerful vision: to gather
the lost sheep, the unchurched, and the unchurched within the church—those created with
a purpose on purpose—into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This divine assignment
now guides the direction, purpose, and heart of her work.
Pastor Karen is married and blessed with four children, four grandchildren, and one
great-grandchild, and this generational legacy strengthens the message of purpose,
identity, and calling that she brings to her congregation and community.
One of the distinguishing features of Pastor Karen’s ministry is her parable-type
storytelling and her ability to weave original poems into her sermons. These creative
expressions help illuminate biblical truths, creating teaching moments that are both
memorable and spiritually impactful.
Her ministry extends beyond the local congregation through national and international
missionary outreach, where she brings a message of hope, healing, and restoration to
diverse communities. As a biblical teacher and Christian counselor, she provides
compassionate, Scripture-based guidance that leads individuals toward spiritual clarity
and emotional renewal.
Ultimately, Pastor Karen exemplifies true servant leadership—leading with humility,
compassion, and unwavering devotion to God’s Word. Her life and ministry continue to
inspire transformation, strengthen families, and advance the Kingdom of God.
