Our Mission
Statement of Faith
We believe that God, in His sovereign grace, has chosen His people before the
foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before Him in love. This divine
election is not based on human merit but solely on God's purpose, mercy, and will.
The Chosen
The Chosen are God’s people, called out of the world to live in holiness, set apart
for His purpose and guided by His Word. The Chosen are in the Church of God.
The Chosen seek disciples because it is the will of God that all people be saved
and come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4). As followers
of Christ, we are called to make disciples, teaching and guiding others in the
ways of righteousness, reflecting God’s love and mercy to the world.
Scriptural Foundations
The Chosen are God’s people, called out of the world and set apart for His glory
(1 Peter 2:9). Before the foundation of the world, God chose us in Christ to be
holy and without blame before Him in love (Ephesians 1:4). We do not conform to
the pattern of this world, but are transformed by the renewing of our minds, that
we may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans
12:2). With joy we go up to the house of the Lord, our feet standing within His
gates, delighting in His presence and peace (Psalm 122). As God’s chosen
people, we live holy lives, proclaim His praises, serve in love, and shine as lights
in a dark world until Christ returns.
Ephesians 1:4 (KJV)
“According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”
1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out
of darkness into His marvellous light.”
John 15:16 (KJV)
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye
should go and bring forth fruit...”
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 11:5 (KJV)
“Even so, then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the
election of grace.”
Romans 9:15–16 (KJV)
“For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy... So
then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that
sheweth mercy.”
Core Beliefs
The Bible is the Mind of God
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and reveals the mind, will,
and character of God to humanity.
Through Scripture, God communicates His truth, His plan of salvation, and
His purposes for creation and mankind.
The Word of God
Scriptural Foundation
2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NIV):
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work.
Hebrews 4:12 (NIV):
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword it
judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
1 Corinthians 2:10–13 (NIV):
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all
things, even the deep things of God. This is what we speak, words taught by the Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin
Mary, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose
again for our justification. (John 3:16; Luke 1:35; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
Jesus Christ is the Messiah
Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah (Anointed One), sent by God to save humanity.
He fulfills Old Testament prophecies as the Savior, Redeemer, and King who
brings eternal life to all who believe and accept Him as Lord.
The Resurrection
We believe in the literal, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and the
future resurrection of all believers (Saints) to eternal life. (1 Thessalonians
4:16–17; John 11:25–26)
The Resurrection and Final Judgment
All people, both righteous and unrighteous, will be resurrected by God. Those
who have trusted in Christ will rise to eternal life, and those who have rejected
Him will face eternal judgment and separation from God.
Scriptural Foundation
Daniel 12:2 (NIV):
Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to
everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
I John 5:28–29 (NIV):
A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and
come out, those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those
who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.
Matthew 25:46 (NIV):
Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
Hebrews 9:27 (NIV):
People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.
The Trinity
We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, coequal,
coeternal, and consubstantial. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Call to Holiness
We believe that all believers are called to live a life of holiness, empowered by
the Holy Spirit, conforming more and more to the image of Christ. (1 Peter
1:15–16; Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–25)
Sin: Saints Empowered by Grace
Romans 6:17-18 (GNT):
“But thanks be to God! For though at one time you were slaves to sin, you have
obeyed with all your heart the truths found in the teaching you received. You
were set free from sin and became the slaves of righteousness.”
God’s chosen people are called saints, those set apart by His grace. A saint is
not a sinner, for we cannot live in both identities at once. Through Christ, we
have been freed from the slavery of sin and are now servants of righteousness.
Romans 6:14:
“For sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under
grace.”
Saints live under grace, which empowers them to resist sin’s control. Grace is not
a license to sin, but the divine power that breaks sin’s dominion. By God’s grace,
the chosen do not practice sin as a way of life.
Matthew 1:21:
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall
save his people from their sins.”
Jesus’ mission was clear: to save His people from their sins, not in their sins. The
saint’s identity is therefore grounded in Christ’s saving work.
John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This everlasting life is not only a promise of heaven but a new quality of life now,
freedom from sin’s bondage and the gift of righteousness through faith.
1 John 1:9:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Though saints do not practice sin, if one is overtaken in weakness, God has
provided the way of restoration. Confession and repentance brings forgiveness
and cleansing, so that fellowship with God is restored.
1 John 2:1-2:
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man
sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is
the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the
whole world.”
We are called not to sin, yet if anyone does stumble, we have an Advocate,
Jesus Christ the Righteous. His sacrifice secures a clean slate and restores us to
right standing with God.
Saints are those chosen and empowered by grace, no longer slaves to sin but
servants of righteousness. We cannot live as both saint and sinner. Yet, if we fall,
God has provided forgiveness through Christ, who cleanses and restores us.
This is the victory of grace: the power to live holy lives and the assurance of
mercy when we repent.
Declaration
We affirm that being chosen by God is a high calling, and with it comes the
responsibility to walk in righteousness, bear spiritual fruit, and proclaim His glory
to the world. We reject pride and self-exaltation, recognizing that our calling is
grounded entirely in God’s love, grace, and mercy.
